KOLKATA: Batting for entertainment as much as cricket, the Bengal T20 League is preparing to deliver a grand finale that promises sixes, soundtracks and a packed day of fan action at Eden Gardens on 21 June.

The final weekend of the Bengal T20 League will bring together the league’s biggest matches, live music performances and interactive fan experiences at the iconic Eden Gardens, creating what organisers hope will be one of the city’s standout sporting events of the year.

The day will begin with the Women’s Final, with gates opening at 10 am. The toss is scheduled for 11 am, followed by the championship clash at 11.30 am as the season’s top women’s teams compete for the title.

Attention will then shift to the evening programme, where cricket meets concert culture. Gates for the Men’s Final will open at 5 pm, followed by a live performance from Bengali rock icons Fossils between 5.30 pm and 6.45 pm. The performance is expected to transform the historic venue into a festival-like atmosphere before the cricket action resumes centre stage.

The Men’s Final toss will take place at 7 pm, with the title-deciding match beginning at 7.30 pm. Adding another layer of entertainment, rapper Cizzy will perform during the mid-innings break as part of a special activation supported by Red Bull.

Fans in attendance will also have the chance to walk away with more than memories. The league’s One-Handed Catch Challenge will offer spectators the opportunity to win Rs 50,000 if they successfully complete a one-handed catch during the Men’s Final.

The event marks the culmination of weeks of competitive cricket featuring some of Bengal’s most promising talent. Organisers have increasingly focused on blending sport with entertainment, a trend that continues to gain momentum across franchise and regional leagues in India.

With championship glory on the line, live music filling the stands and fan engagement woven throughout the day, the Bengal T20 League’s final weekend is aiming to offer a complete stadium experience rather than just a cricket match.

Free passes for the event are available through District by Zomato, giving fans an opportunity to witness two title clashes and a full day of entertainment at one of cricket’s most celebrated venues.
