GURUGRAM: A new chapter in technology leadership is unfolding at Swiss Beauty. The fast-growing cosmetics and personal care brand has appointed Rakesh Panday as its head of information technology, bringing on board a seasoned technology executive with more than 15 years of experience across enterprise IT, digital transformation, cloud adoption and business technology strategy.

Panday announced his new role through a LinkedIn post, stating that he was “happy to share” that he had joined Swiss Beauty as head of information technology. Based in Gurugram, he will lead the company’s technology function as it continues to scale its operations and strengthen its digital capabilities.

The appointment comes at a time when consumer brands are increasingly investing in technology infrastructure, data-driven decision-making and digital transformation to support growth across online and offline channels. With extensive experience spanning enterprise applications, ERP modernisation, cloud transformation, agile delivery and application management, Panday is expected to play a key role in advancing Swiss Beauty’s technology roadmap.

Before joining Swiss Beauty, Panday served as assistant general manager and head IT at Casio India, where he spent more than six years in leadership roles. During his tenure, he oversaw the company’s IT strategy and technology operations, progressing through multiple senior positions including information technology manager and senior manager before taking charge of the overall IT function.

Prior to Casio India, Panday spent nearly five years at Capgemini, where he held several leadership roles including senior manager, manager and senior consultant. He led large-scale transformation programmes, global technology rollouts and cloud migration initiatives while managing teams spread across multiple geographies and time zones. His experience also includes driving application resilience programmes, analytics-led support models, agile transformation projects and digital product development initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Panday worked at Tata Consultancy Services’ Tata Research Development and Design Centre (TRDDC) as a systems engineer. There, he focused on enterprise data analytics, capacity planning, IT operations management and performance optimisation for large-scale client environments.

Academically, Panday holds a postgraduate degree in Industrial Management from Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai). He also received a pre-placement offer from Capgemini during his management studies, marking the beginning of a career that would span consulting, enterprise technology and digital transformation leadership.

As Swiss Beauty continues to expand its presence in India’s highly competitive beauty and personal care market, the addition of an experienced technology leader signals the company’s intent to further strengthen its digital foundation. With Panday at the helm of the IT function, the brand is likely to focus on building scalable technology platforms, enhancing operational efficiency and accelerating innovation across its business.
