ASICS unveils GEL-KAYANO 33 in India with upgraded stability and cushioning tech
New running shoe features FLUIDSUPPORT system and dual-layer foam for smoother rides
MUMBAI: Running just got a little softer on the stride as ASICS has launched its latest stability runner, the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 33 in India. The new model builds on the brand’s long-running Kayano franchise with a stronger focus on comfort, cushioning and smoother transitions.
Designed for long-distance runners and everyday training alike, the GEL-KAYANO 33 introduces a reworked stability system called FLUIDSUPPORT. The technology is engineered to guide the foot more naturally from heel strike to toe-off, offering consistent support through each phase of the run.
The shoe also features a dual-layer midsole designed to balance softness and stability. A top layer of FF BLAST MAX cushioning delivers a lighter, more responsive feel, while a lower layer of FF BLAST PLUS foam helps provide structure and support underfoot. Together, the setup aims to create a more balanced and comfortable ride.
Further enhancing comfort, the shoe includes PureGEL technology for improved shock absorption and smoother transitions. A redesigned engineered mesh upper improves breathability and fit, while a lighter build supports easier movement over longer distances.
ASICS athlete and professional triathlete Lucy Charles-Barclay said the shoe has become a dependable part of her training routine. She noted that it offers a strong mix of cushioning and stability, particularly useful during high-volume sessions and longer runs.
Staying true to its philosophy of “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body,” ASICS continues to focus on performance-led design rooted in biomechanics and athlete feedback. The GEL-KAYANO 33 reflects that approach with its emphasis on comfort-driven innovation for everyday runners.
The shoe is now available across ASICS retail stores in India and online, priced at Rs 16,999, as the brand continues to expand its premium running portfolio in the country.
