Udit Jain joins WPP Media as strategy director for Google
Former Outlook Media executive joins WPP Media to drive AI and growth strategy
NEW DELHI: A fresh page has turned in the career of media and growth strategist Udit Jain. The former Outlook Media executive has taken on the role of strategy director for Google at WPP Media, where he is working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, audience intelligence and marketing strategy.
Jain shared the update on LinkedIn, noting that he joined WPP Media in November 2025 and has since been contributing to strategic initiatives for Google in India.
In his current role, Jain is focused on AI transformation, growth strategy and audience insights. His responsibilities include supporting the development of AI marketing agents on WPP Open and contributing to strategic marketing initiatives across products such as Google Gemini, Google Search AI Mode and YouTube Premium.
Speaking about the move, Jain said, “The role brings together several areas I’ve been passionate about throughout my career like strategy and growth, consumer insights, subscriptions, and now AI transformation.”
Jain arrives at WPP Media with a career spanning media, technology, subscriptions and audience growth. Prior to this appointment, he worked independently as an AI Strategy and Growth Advisor, helping startups and growth-stage businesses develop go-to-market and subscription strategies.
Before that, he served as vice president, digital strategy & growth at Outlook Publishing India, where he led analytics, growth, research and AI initiatives. During his tenure, he helped launch and scale the company’s commerce platform, expanded audience reach and strengthened programmatic revenue operations through data-led strategies and partnerships.
His earlier experience also includes a global leadership role at inkl, where he oversaw subscription analytics, insights and growth. There, he worked closely on revenue growth, retention strategies and international market expansion for the digital news platform.
Jain has additionally held roles with ESPN and several leading media organisations, building expertise across audience monetisation, product growth and digital transformation.
Academically, he has completed executive education programmes from institutions including Harvard Business School Online and Product School, with a focus on disruptive strategy and digital product management.
As AI increasingly reshapes marketing and consumer engagement, Jain’s move places him at the centre of one of the industry’s fastest-evolving areas. His blend of media, subscription and growth experience is expected to support WPP Media’s efforts to help Google navigate the next wave of AI-driven marketing innovation.
