Raise launches Millions app to help Gen Z take their first investing steps
New platform combines stocks, mutual funds, SIPs and IPOs in one goal-based journey
MUMBAI: Making cents of investing may have just become a little easier for India’s youngest investors. Raise Financial Services has launched Millions, a new investing platform aimed at Gen Z and first-time investors, as the fintech firm looks to tap into India’s rapidly expanding retail investor base.
Positioned around the tagline “Your Journey to Millions”, the app brings together investment options including mutual funds, stocks, SIPs and IPOs within a single platform. The company says the experience has been designed to help users focus on personal financial goals rather than navigating complex financial products.
The launch comes at a time when retail participation in India’s capital markets has surged, with millions of new investors entering the ecosystem over the past few years. Yet, despite growing interest in wealth creation, many young Indians remain hesitant to begin investing due to a lack of familiarity with financial products and market terminology.
Recognising this gap, Raise has built Millions with a goal-first approach. Instead of asking users to choose products from the outset, the platform encourages them to invest around aspirations such as building financial security, creating an additional income stream, starting a business or pursuing personal ambitions.
Speaking on the launch, Raise Financial Services founder Pravin Jadhav said India’s relationship with investing has undergone a major transformation over the past decade.
“Investing is no longer limited to a small segment of the population. Young Indians are actively thinking about financial independence and participating in the country’s growth story. However, investing experiences have often been built around products and complexity, while most people think in terms of goals and outcomes,” said Jadhav.
He added that Millions aims to make investing more approachable by combining goal-based investing with access to a range of financial products, helping users connect their financial decisions to real-life ambitions.
The launch also reflects Raise’s broader strategy of using technology to simplify investing and widen participation in India’s financial markets. As competition intensifies among investment platforms targeting younger consumers, firms are increasingly focusing on intuitive design, education and personalised experiences to attract first-time investors.
With Millions now available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, Raise is betting that India’s next generation of investors wants an investing companion that speaks the language of goals rather than spreadsheets.
