MUMBAI: Eloelo Group is turning up the algorithm as it doubles down on artificial intelligence. The consumer internet company has appointed Rohit Saini as director of data science, bringing on board an AI specialist whose work spans generative AI, recommendation engines, intelligent search and large language models.

The appointment comes as Eloelo Group expands its AI ambitions across its growing portfolio of products, including microdrama platform Story TV and microlearning platform Master.

In his new role, Saini will lead the group’s AI infrastructure initiatives, focusing on improving content discovery, personalisation and user engagement across its entertainment and learning ecosystem. He will also help strengthen the technology backbone supporting the company’s AI-driven workflows.

Saini joins the company with more than nine years of experience in consumer-scale AI systems. Before moving to Eloelo Group, he served as vice president – generative AI at Wells Fargo, where he led the development of a patent-pending retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) virtual assistant.

Earlier, at Zee, he played a key role in developing what the company describes as India’s first production text-to-music generation model built using Meta’s MusicGen framework. The system enabled AI-generated music compositions that blended Indian and Western instruments. He also worked on knowledge graph-based recommendation and discovery systems designed to improve content discovery and increase viewer engagement across millions of users.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Science, Saini has built a reputation for translating advanced AI research into consumer-facing products. His expertise spans generative AI, intelligent search technologies and recommendation systems, areas that are becoming increasingly important as digital platforms compete to keep users engaged.

The appointment also aligns with Eloelo Group’s broader technology strategy. Over the past year, Story TV has integrated AI-driven workflows throughout its content production process. One of its notable innovations is a script prediction engine that analyses millions of audience interactions and content signals to help creators develop microdrama storylines more effectively.

The company says these AI-first workflows have helped accelerate content creation while enabling experimentation with new formats, genres and storytelling approaches. As audience expectations evolve, the use of AI is increasingly becoming a differentiator in both entertainment and educational content platforms.

Commenting on the appointment, Eloelo Group chief operating officer GSN Aditya said: “At Eloelo Group, we believe AI-driven workflows will play a defining role in unlocking human creativity at scale.”

He added that as entertainment becomes more personalised and interactive, AI will serve as a tool to expand creative possibilities rather than replace human creativity. According to Aditya, Saini’s experience in production-scale AI systems will help accelerate the group’s long-term vision across Story TV, Master and other products.

Sharing his thoughts on joining the company, Rohit Saini said, “The entertainment industry is moving towards greater content velocity, sharper personalisation and more intelligent discovery.”

He added that Eloelo Group is well positioned to benefit from these shifts and that he looks forward to strengthening its AI and data science capabilities while helping users discover content that is most relevant to them.

Saini’s appointment comes at a time when Eloelo Group is experiencing rapid growth. Story TV recently emerged as one of India’s most downloaded applications in the first quarter of 2026, according to data from Sensor Tower.

As AI reshapes how audiences discover, consume and engage with content, Eloelo Group is betting that stronger technology leadership will help it stay ahead of the curve. With Saini now on board, the company appears determined to ensure its next chapter is written as much by algorithms as by imagination.
