MUMBAI: Looks like Acko is renewing more than insurance policies. The digital insurer is reshaping its leadership bench as it prepares for a bigger push across auto, health and customer experience. D2C insurer Acko has expanded its senior leadership team with four key appointments as the company sharpens its focus on integrated business ownership, customer experience and scalable growth.

The company has brought in Apoorv Kalra, former chief product officer at Junglee Games, to lead its auto business, while ex-Meta executive Kunal Kapur will head the health business. Entrepreneur Vivek Sharma, founder of Fixcraft, has been appointed to lead the Acko Drive ecosystem, spanning both vehicle buying and servicing operations. Meanwhile, former Zepto leader Neha Gupta joins to oversee Assisted Experience, a function designed to improve customer interactions across sales and support journeys.

The appointments signal a broader organisational shift at Acko as it moves away from siloed functional structures towards unified leadership models that combine product, business operations, pricing and customer experience under single ownership.

The strategy is aimed at reducing the gap between decision-making and customer outcomes, allowing the company to respond faster and deliver more consistent experiences across its offerings.

The move comes as digital-first insurers face increasing competition and growing expectations around seamless customer service. As insurance products become more technology-driven, companies are investing heavily in leadership talent capable of combining operational execution with customer-centric innovation.

Acko’s latest hires bring experience spanning technology, gaming, mobility, entrepreneurship and quick commerce sectors industries known for fast decision-making and digital-first customer engagement.

The company said it is building a more tightly integrated operating model across its auto and health businesses while also expanding services around vehicle ownership through the Acko Drive ecosystem.

For Acko, the latest leadership additions are less about filling positions and more about tightening the gears behind the business. As the insurer looks to scale, the bet is that stronger ownership and faster execution will translate into something every insurance company ultimately chases: customer trust that lasts longer than the policy term.
