NEW DELHI –  A new voice has joined the boardroom at Prius Communications. The communications firm has appointed industry veteran Sanjay Sharma as director of PR, strengthening its senior leadership team as it looks to expand its strategic footprint.

In his new role, Sharma will lead public relations strategy across the group’s two core verticals, Prius Brand and Business Partners and Prius Healthcare. His remit will span media relations, corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement, brand advisory and integrated communications strategy.

It is a significant hire for the firm, and not without reason. Sharma brings more than three decades of experience across advertising, corporate communications, journalism and brand management, making him one of the more seasoned names in the business.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Sharma’s career has crossed sectors and industries, from aviation and infrastructure to media and healthcare. His professional journey includes leadership roles at major organisations such as Air India, the Dalmia and Jindal groups, the Birla Group, The Hindustan Times Group and ITV Network. He also spent time at All India Radio as an English newsreader, a role that sharpened the communication instincts he is now known for.

Speaking on his appointment, Prius Communications director of PR Sanjay Sharma said communication today is no longer just about visibility, but about building trust, credibility and meaningful engagement. He added that he was looking forward to contributing to Prius Communications’ next phase of growth.

Welcoming the appointment, Prius Brand and Business Partners founder and chief executive Baldev Raj said Sharma’s deep media understanding and strategic expertise would further strengthen the firm’s leadership bench and deliver greater value to clients.

For Prius Communications, the appointment signals more than just a leadership addition. It is a clear statement of intent: as the communications landscape evolves, the firm is investing in experience to stay ahead of the conversation.
