Ankur Shrivastava joins Sony Pictures Networks India as associate vice president

BENGALURU: Ankur Shrivastava has been appointed associate vice president at Sony Pictures Networks India in Bengaluru, marking a new chapter in a 13-year career spanning India’s top media houses. In his new role, he will lead ad sales, revenue optimisation and business planning for the South region across the Hindi GEC portfolio, driving growth through senior stakeholder engagement, cross-functional collaboration and strategic partnerships.

Shrivastava brings deep experience from stints at JioStar, Viacom18, Star TV Network, Reliance Broadcast Network and UBM India, where he built pipelines, negotiated complex deals and delivered high-impact campaigns across linear and digital platforms. His expertise spans media sales and marketing, client acquisition and retention, c-suite relationship management, media planning, go-to-market strategy, channel sales and strategic partnerships.

At Sony, he will nurture senior-level relationships with agencies and key advertisers, coach a high-performing team, and track market intelligence to sharpen pricing, content and strategy decisions. Known for blending analytical insights with creative strategy, Shrivastava thrives in fluid, collaborative environments where innovation and agility shape outcomes.
