Shakti Chandran steps down as executive editor at Brut India

NOIDA: Shakti Chandran has called time on his stint as executive editor at Brut India, bringing down the curtain on a four year chapter at the digital media platform known for its sharp storytelling and social lens.

Chandran joined Brut India in January 2022 as news editor and quickly became a central figure in the newsroom. He went on to take charge as executive editor in June 2024, working out of Noida in a hybrid role. Along the way, he played a key part in editorial direction and editorial product development, helping the platform refine its news voice for an always scrolling audience.

With his departure, Chandran leaves behind a newsroom shaped by collaboration and curiosity. What lies ahead remains under wraps, but in an industry fuelled by constant change, his next chapter is likely to draw attention.
