Jim Weatherford to head Cookie Jar Entertainment’s Asian operations

MUMBAI: The Montreal-based entertainment company Cookie Jar Entertainment has appointed former Nelvana executive Jim Weatherford as the head of their Asian operations. The company is currently planning their expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

Based in Tokyo, Weatherford will be reporting to the distribution head Sam Ewing. Weatherford will oversee all of Cookie Jar’s business in the region. Earlier he was part of Nelvana International as the director for the Asia Pacific.

Cookie Jar Entertainment’s new creative executive Michael Wrenn will be assisting Weatherford in Tokyo. Wrenn will co-ordinate with local anime designers, writers, producers and directors to develop new titles.
