MUMBAI: The Times of India Group having plans to enter into the television arena for quite some time has begun major recruitment drive for key positions.
It has put out an ad in its jobs supplement Ascent. In the general category it has announced the availability of six positions. They include CFO. Here the company is looking for a CA with ten years experience in managing programing and marketing costs.
Other key positions include a transmission supervisor and transmission assistants. For this an understanding of the uplinking logistics within the industry is essential. People chosen will be in charge of the uplink facility at Noida. As reported earlier by indiantelevision.com, the Times Group will launch a lifestyle and entertainment channel Zoom and a secular spiritual channel.
It will also be launching a business news channel. For this purpose, the channel is on the look out for senior television news producers. It is also looking for promo specialists and someone to head the on-air promo division. This is in addition to marketing and HR heads.
