MUMBAI: Based on the channel’s programming philosophy of being a part of real kids’ lives and inspiring them to realize their dreams, Disney channel has announced a new initiative called Talk Out Loud. The initiative will give kids an opportunity to join their favorite Disney characters.

Starting 12 July, as a part of the school relationship program, Disney Channel will engage 300,000 students aged 8-15 years across 400 schools in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Kanpur and Indore, in an interactive programme.

During this programme, Disney Channel will organize interactive classroom and school auditorium sessions, where the channel will invite schools to send entries for the ‘Talk Out Loud’ and give students an opportunity to interact with their favorite characters.

Shows-centric quizzes, games and on-the-spot contests will be hosted to spot Disney Channel’s biggest fan, which will be short listed for the Talk Out Loud city auditions. Viewers can enroll though SMS/IVRS or log on to www.disney.in

Commenting on the back to school program, Walt Disney Television International (India) SVP and MD Antoine Villeneuve said, “Disney Channel’s Talk Out Loud aims to connect with the audience through their own idioms while also providing a platform for fans to express themselves. Disney Channel fans have always been a part of the channel and now we are giving them an opportunity to be a popular face and voice on the Channel.”

For Talk Out Loud, 50 short-listed participants per city will be judged on their stage presence, confidence, presence of mind, diction, and unique style. The second round of auditions will further challenge the participants on confidence, creativity, wit, and humor, gift of the gab, unique interests, and the Disney Channel quotient.

Ten semi-finalists from each city will be groomed in communications and presentation skills during various workshops before the final selection round.

The winners will get to host their favorite show on Disney Channel.

MUMBAI: When classic hindi movie meets animation, the result is a fresh reel of nostalgia with a cartoon twist. Mukta Arts Ltd. and Green Gold Animation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on animated shows and feature films drawn from Mukta Arts’ four-decade treasure trove of iconic IPs. The partnership taps Mukta’s SGM Animation Studio launched in 2025 as its dedicated animation and games arm and Green Gold’s proven track record in building scalable, homegrown franchises. Creative teams from both sides have already kicked off discussions, with the first project currently in development.

The slate will draw inspiration from landmark Mukta films including Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Saudagar and Iqbal, plus character-led spin-offs from those universes. The aim is to reimagine these stories for today’s young, global audiences while preserving their emotional core.

Green Gold Animation (home of Chhota Bheem) founder and CEO Rajiv Chilaka said, “This partnership with SGM Studios allows us to apply our experience in building long-lasting animation IPs to a truly iconic film catalogue. Together, we aim to create animated worlds that are rooted in these legendary stories, yet designed to connect with today’s young, global audiences.”
