MUMBAI: BabyFirstTV has assigned Summit Entertainment as the exclusive US distributor for their lineup of baby and toddler developmental DVDs.

A global independent entertainment production and distribution studio, Summit Entertainment will represent the BabyFirstTV DVD line to home entertainment retailers and mass merchandisers nationwide.

Says BabyFirstTV SVP sales and marketing Jeffrey Quinn, “Summit Entertainment is the perfect distribution partner for our DVD lineup. Summit has done an outstanding job marketing and selling their titles to all major retailers and quite frankly, one of the few companies we felt could manage our significant DVD output without losing sight of the brand.”

BabyFirstTV developmental DVDs are created by leading child development experts and include many features including on-screen parenting tips and information and a three-step introduction method to topics.

Developmental titles include: Social Explorations, taking babies and toddlers on an adventure of discovery through a variety of games and activities; Visual Inspirations (exploring the beauty of art in a manner that adjusts to the nature and pace of a child’s development), Vocabulary Seeds (provides a taste of the gradual process in which vocabulary is created and enhanced), Cognitive Beginnings (explores different components of our cognitive abilities in three progressive steps), Numerical Concepts (introduces numbers and counting as well as the relationships between various shapes), and Night Symphony ( features lullaby music and soothing images to much-needed quiet time for babies and their parents).

Other series include I Can Sign (learning sign language), BabyFirst Tales (understanding how to read classic tales), MY Gym At Home (provides a safe and fun introduction to flexibility and motor skills), and Baby D.I.Y. (crafts made from items in the kitchen).

The character line features the four most popular shows each with their own DVD: Harry the Bunny, Squeak, Tec the Tractor and Shushybye Baby.

“We’re excited to represent BabyFirstTV in the DVD category. The company has put together a truly unique line-up that has really hit home with parents here in the US and around the world. It’s a great addition to our theatrical DVD releases and the channel’s consumer awareness and support makes them a great a partner for us,” said Summit Entertainment president Steve Nickerson.

MUMBAI: When classic hindi movie meets animation, the result is a fresh reel of nostalgia with a cartoon twist. Mukta Arts Ltd. and Green Gold Animation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on animated shows and feature films drawn from Mukta Arts’ four-decade treasure trove of iconic IPs. The partnership taps Mukta’s SGM Animation Studio launched in 2025 as its dedicated animation and games arm and Green Gold’s proven track record in building scalable, homegrown franchises. Creative teams from both sides have already kicked off discussions, with the first project currently in development.

The slate will draw inspiration from landmark Mukta films including Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Saudagar and Iqbal, plus character-led spin-offs from those universes. The aim is to reimagine these stories for today’s young, global audiences while preserving their emotional core.

Green Gold Animation (home of Chhota Bheem) founder and CEO Rajiv Chilaka said, “This partnership with SGM Studios allows us to apply our experience in building long-lasting animation IPs to a truly iconic film catalogue. Together, we aim to create animated worlds that are rooted in these legendary stories, yet designed to connect with today’s young, global audiences.”
