Fame Jodi – Qazi Touqeer and Ruprekha Banerjee live in concert
India’s very first Jodi No1 perform LIVE in a musical extravaganza
for the launch of their maiden music album ‘Jodi No 1’
After the grand success of the reality drama Fame Gurukul on Sony Entertainment Television, India’s first Jodi No 1, Ruprekha Banerjee and Qazi Touqeer are ready to set the stage on fire with their very first public performance in a LIVE concert on Friday, 11th November, at 7.30pm in Ravindra Natya Mandir. What started off as a journey with fourteen contestants vying for the coveted title of ‘Fame Jodi’ has now culminated into a dream of a lifetime for the Jodi No 1, who are all set to make their first public performance in the most electrifying and scintillating mega musical event of the year.
The ‘Junta’s’ hero, Qazi Touqeer is extremely excited about his first concert and exclaimed, “The nation has stood by me through my journey to the top – has wept with me when I had tears in my eyes and laughed with me when I won the title. I am here on this pedestal only because of my fans and I hope I will be able to live up to their expectations.”
Gurukul’s favourite Ruprekha said, “I am really looking forward to this concert because now we get an opportunity to give back the country all the love and blessings they have showered on us. I am really excited and wish I get more opportunities like these where I get to be face to face with my fans. I will look to improve as a singer and a performer with each of my show.”
This mega musical event also witnesses the launch of Ruprekha and Qazi’s first music album ‘JODI NO 1,’ by Sony Music BMG. The Jodi has reached this pinnacle of fame only after weeks and months of struggle, harsh trials and tribulations. They now promise to set the stage afire with brilliant singing and mind-blowing performances. ‘Jodi No 1 In Concert’ encapsulates some of the best performances put together by the two, accompanied by never-before-seen performances based on four original compositions from their first album Jodi No 1.”
Tarun Katial, executive vice president & business head, Sony Entertainment Television, “Sony Entertainment Television through its unique and innovative programming constantly works towards providing a platform for the budding talent of this country and helping them make their dream come true. I am very happy to bring back the duo for their first public performance, keeping up to our promise of providing the country with a ‘Jodi No 1’ who will entertain them.”
On the occasion, Shridhar Subramaniam, Managing Director, Sony BMG Music said, “Through Fame Gurukul, we have once again seen the involvement of the nation in choosing their own superstars. The fans await Qazi & Ruprekha’s debut album – Jodi No.1 with lyrics penned by Sameer and music composed by Prempal Hans & Hardip Sidhu, with bated breath, and we are sure it will be a phenomenal success!”

Mumbai gears up for the ultimate Global Youth Festival this December
MUMBAI: Mumbai is about to witness something it has never seen before. The Global Youth Festival arrives on 6-7 December at Jio World Garden with 15,000 attendees and 60-plus experiences sprawled across six sprawling arenas. On its sixth edition, this is no ordinary jamboree—it is a carefully orchestrated collision of wellness, adventure, arts, music, yoga and social change.
Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis will throw open the proceedings with a landmark ceremony, signalling the state’s backing for a movement that has already mobilised youth across 20-plus countries and 170-plus cities. The sheer scale is staggering: 500-plus volunteers powering the machine, 600,000-plus volunteer hours logged across previous editions, and millions of lives touched annually.
The speaker roster is formidable. Diipa Büller-Khosla and Dipali Goenka, chief executive of Welspun India, will share the stage with Malaika Arora in conversations spanning leadership, creativity and culture. Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Mansukhbhai Mandaviya will also attend, reinforcing GYF’s reach into the corridors of power.
But this is not mere talk. The Solaris Mainstage promises concerts from renowned Indian artists. Innerverse delivers a 360-degree LED spectacle of art, technology and sound. The Love and Care Arena houses hands-on projects spanning women’s empowerment, child education, rural upliftment and animal welfare. India’s largest outdoor sound-healing experience awaits. An inflatable obstacle course, neon drifter karts and open-sky bouldering cater to thrill-seekers.
Some have branded GYF the “Coachella of Consciousness.” Others call it “India’s Largest Sober Festival.” Spiritual visionary Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji, who inspired the festival, will deliver the Wisdom Masterclass. Every rupee goes to charity.
After Mumbai comes Kolkata on 14 December. New York looms next year. For one weekend in December, Mumbai becomes the epicentre of youth-driven change—and nothing will be quite the same after.
