Times Internet’s Upen Rai in charge of Zoom TV
MUMBAI: Upen Roop Rai, marketing head of the Times Group’s Internet division, has been given additional charge of non-fiction lifestyle and entertainment channel Zoom.
This follows the departure of Apurva Purohit, COO, Television Division, Times Entertainment as head of Zoom TV.
Rai, who is vice-president, Times Internet and also business head for the Integrated Marketing Solution Group (IMSG), had stints with Buena Vista, ESPN and Zee TV.
As per the current indications, Rai will be de-linking himself from the Times Internet operations completely and devoting his energies solely to Zoom once a suitable replacement for the internet operation has been found.
