Star Movies lines up crossover Indian cinema fest
In its bid to celebrate the festive season, Star Movies lined up crossover Indian cinemas for every Thursday night at 9 pm.
The celebration began last week with Rahul Bose and Perizaad Zorabian starrer Mumbai Matinee and will continue with the screening of Bollywood Queen starring Preeya Kalidas and James McAvoy, this Thursday, says a press release.
Other movies to be telecast include The Guru and Where’s the party yaar? The movies, says the release, deals with issues of life and love and the complications that can hamper the smooth sailing of relationships, these movies look at everyday affairs with a uniquely Indian slant.
Bollywood Queen, a cross-cultural romance set in London's East End is about a young girl of Indian heritage. Geena (Preeya Kalidas) is a nineteen year-old woman of Indian descent living in the East End. Her parents have arranged for her to marry a young Indian man. She already has a secret that she keeps from her parents–an R&B vocal group she has formed with two friends. But when Jay (James McAvoy), a white Londoner, saves her from injury on the street, it's love at first sight, and suddenly she has another secret to keep from her family, adds the release.

Zee5 launches five free FAST channels on Samsung TV Plus India
New genre-led channels bring comedy, drama, horror, classics and South films to Smart TVs.
MUMBAI: Zee5 just turned Samsung Smart TVs into a free entertainment buffet because when premium content costs nothing, even the remote control starts smiling. Zee5 has launched five curated free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels on Samsung TV Plus India, making high-quality, genre-specific entertainment available subscription-free to millions of Samsung Smart TV owners across the country.
The five channels now live are:
Zee Comedy Nation – Popular comedy shows and movies
Zee Dil Se – Compelling drama series
ZEE Horror Nights – Horror and supernatural content
ZEE Cine Classic – Timeless Indian films
ZEE South Flix – High-energy South Indian films dubbed in Hindi
All content is drawn from Zee5’s extensive library and programmed in a lean-back, always-on format ideal for large-screen viewing. This launch strengthens Zee5’s Connected TV strategy at a time when 64 per cent of its premium content watch time already comes from connected devices.

The channels are available directly through the pre-installed Samsung TV Plus app with no login or subscription required. This marks another milestone in Zee5’s CTV expansion and builds on its growing international presence, with Zee channels already available on Samsung TV Plus across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
