Jackie Chan to star in a Chinese television series
MUMBAI: Action star Jackie Chan is now going to star in a television series, which has been titled Silver Times. Apart from Chan, the series will also star other big stars from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
According to a media report, Silver Times is a youth drama set at the Beijing Film Academy, which regales stories on the college’s acting department. Noted film stars and directors who have graduated from the Beijing Film Academy are also expected to be included in the lineup. One of them is Zhao Wei, who played the character Little Swallow in the movie Pearl Princess. Apart from her; actress-director Xu Jinglei and acclaimed filmmaker Feng Xiaogang will also feature in the series.
The main lead in Silver Times will be played by South Korean singer Jang Na.
On home ground; Chan has recently been roped in by Bajaj Auto for their new bike – Discover, as its new brand ambassador. Chan will soon be seen in the brand’s ad campaigns. The company roped in the action star because of his popularity in Asia. The new bike will be launched in a few week’s time.
