Henry Moniz is Viacom’s associate general counsel, compliance VP

MUMBAI: Media conglomerate Viacom has announced that it has appointed Henry Moniz to the newly created post of VP, associate general counsel, compliance.

Moniz will oversee the company’s compliance and business ethics programmes. Recently Viacom had to take flak for the Janet Jackson episode on its broadcast station CBS during the Super Bowl on 1 February.

Monix will report to Viacom’s deputy general counsel VP Mark Morril. The company has issued a release stating that the new position reflects the emphasis of its board and senior management on enhancing the company’s culture of honesty and ethics both through education and prompt detection.
