MUMBAI: There’s a new centre of gravity in town. As global companies increasingly look to India for digital expertise, Cheil SWA has entered the race with the launch of the Cheil Global Capability Center, a dedicated offshore delivery hub designed to serve clients across multiple international markets.

The new GCC, launched under Experience Commerce, marks the first major milestone in Cheil SWA’s broader expansion strategy. It will consolidate the group’s technology, data, customer relationship management (CRM) and digital operations capabilities into a single offshore delivery framework, enabling the agency to support global brands more efficiently and at greater scale.

The centre will primarily cater to enterprises across the US, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region that are looking to tap India’s growing pool of digital, technology and data talent. By centralising these capabilities, the company aims to streamline delivery while offering clients faster execution and specialised expertise.

The move comes as India’s Global Capability Centre ecosystem continues to gather pace. The country has emerged as one of the world’s preferred destinations for offshore operations, thanks to its deep technology talent pool, faster hiring cycles, operational scalability and vibrant start-up ecosystem. These advantages have prompted companies across sectors to expand or establish GCCs to support global business operations.

Speaking on the launch, Cheil SWA president and CEO Sungkyoon Kim said, “The launch of the Cheil Global Capability Center represents a significant step in strengthening our global delivery ecosystem and reinforces our commitment to Indian market. This strategic evolution positions us to better serve offshore clients who are increasingly looking to India for world-class digital and marketing expertise.”

He added that India’s combination of scale, talent and innovation makes it an ideal location for the company’s next phase of growth. “With GCC, we can deliver more integrated, efficient, and impactful marketing services that drive measurable business outcomes for our global partners,” Kim said.

For Cheil SWA, the new GCC is more than an operational expansion. It signals the agency’s ambition to make India a strategic engine for its international business, using local expertise to deliver global campaigns and digital transformation services as demand for offshore capabilities continues to rise.
