Jakson Group appoints Maitreyi Tripathyi as communications head
Former Sterlite Power executive to lead corporate affairs and brand strategy
NEW DELHI: Every strong brand begins with a powerful story, and Jakson Group has chosen a seasoned storyteller to shape its next chapter. Jakson Group has appointed Maitreyi Tripathyi as Head – Corporate Affairs & Communications, strengthening its leadership team as companies place greater emphasis on reputation management and strategic stakeholder engagement.
Tripathyi, who announced the move on LinkedIn, assumed the role four months ago. She will oversee the group’s corporate affairs and communications strategy, including brand positioning, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and reputation management.
She joins Jakson Group from Sterlite Power, where she served as Chief Manager – Corporate Affairs, leading communication initiatives and stakeholder engagement programmes. Her appointment brings experience spanning corporate communications, public affairs, brand management and strategic messaging across multiple industries.
Before moving into corporate leadership, Tripathyi spent more than a decade as a broadcast journalist, a background that has shaped her expertise in storytelling, media relations and public communication. Over the years, she has developed capabilities across external and internal communications, content strategy, crisis communications, public relations and social media management.
Her career also includes leadership and communications roles at HCLTech and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), where she worked on corporate communications, public affairs and brand-building initiatives.
The appointment comes as organisations increasingly elevate corporate communications from a support function to a strategic business role, with reputation, public policy, ESG messaging and stakeholder engagement becoming central to long-term growth.
For Jakson Group, Tripathyi’s arrival signals a stronger focus on integrated communications as the company continues to strengthen its corporate brand and engagement with employees, policymakers, customers and the wider business community.
