SINGAPORE: Omnicom Public Relations has appointed Shouvik Prasanna Mukherjee as its head of creative, Asia Pacific, expanding his responsibilities to oversee creative strategy across FleishmanHillard, Golin, Ketchum and Weber Shandwick in the region.

Mukherjee announced the appointment on LinkedIn, saying his focus remains unchanged despite the larger mandate. “New role, same obsession: making work that matters,” he wrote, adding that he would lead creative efforts across the Omnicom Public Relations network in Asia Pacific.

Reflecting on the move, Mukherjee noted that much of his career has been spent helping challenger brands grow, making it “ironic” to now join what he described as the industry’s largest agency network. He added that while the “scoreboard’s bigger” and the stakes are higher, his ambition remains to deliver best-in-class creative work that shapes culture and drives measurable impact.

The appointment builds on a career spanning more than 15 years within Golin, where Mukherjee most recently served as chief creative officer, Asia Pacific. During his tenure, he led award-winning integrated communications campaigns for global brands across sectors including technology, automotive, consumer goods, food and beverages.

He has also been serving as executive vice president, global creative innovation and chief creative officer, Asia Pacific at Ketchum, where he has focused on developing new creative products, proprietary solutions and innovation-led offerings while leading the agency’s Creative Intelligence Unit.

Before becoming Asia Pacific chief creative officer, Mukherjee held a succession of leadership positions at Golin, including executive creative director, creative director and manager, helping establish and expand the agency’s creative capabilities across the region.

Over the years, he has led campaigns for brands including Twitter, Porsche, Heineken, Guinness, Nespresso, McDonald’s, Samsung, Panasonic, Volvo Trucks, LinkedIn, eBay, Vodafone, Chivas Regal and multiple Unilever brands.

Earlier in his career, Mukherjee worked at Rice Communications, where he handled regional communications programmes for technology companies, and at Zzebra PR, where he led communications for Wipro’s corporate, consumer care and CSR businesses while contributing to business development.

Mukherjee holds a master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Calcutta.

His elevation comes as global communications networks continue to place greater emphasis on integrated creativity, bringing together earned media, digital storytelling, data and cultural relevance under unified leadership. By placing one creative leader across multiple agency brands in Asia Pacific, Omnicom Public Relations is signalling a stronger push towards collaboration and network-wide creative excellence.
