Zee TV announces Sa Re Ga Ma Pa audition dates, kicks off hunt for singing talent
Auditions begin in Varanasi, Lucknow and Delhi as the iconic music reality show returns with a new season
MUMBAI: Zee TV has unveiled the first promo for the upcoming season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and announced the first round of audition dates, officially beginning its nationwide search for India’s next singing superstar.
The auditions will commence in Varanasi on July 3, followed by Lucknow on July 4 and Delhi on July 5. The broadcaster said additional audition cities will be announced in the coming weeks.
The newly released promo captures a family celebrating the birth of a newborn through a soulful rendition of a traditional Sohar, a folk song from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar associated with childbirth and new beginnings. The concept reflects the show’s focus on authentic Indian musical traditions while highlighting music’s ability to unite generations.
The upcoming season promises an upgraded viewing experience with a grand stage, immersive production design and performances backed by more than 100 live musicians, singers and instrumentalists.
For more than three decades, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has served as one of India’s most recognised platforms for discovering musical talent. Over the years, the show has helped launch the careers of acclaimed playback singers including Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala and Monali Thakur.
The new season aims to continue that legacy by providing aspiring singers from across the country with an opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage.
Participants can register for auditions by giving a missed call to +91 9152915218, following which they will receive an SMS with a link to the official audition website. Contestants can also apply via WhatsApp on +91 8655780787 by submitting the required details along with two audio-video clips, or upload their entries directly through the official audition portal.
With auditions set to begin this week, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is once again inviting aspiring singers from across India to take the first step towards turning their musical dreams into reality before the show returns soon on Zee TV.
