Infinix drives premium push with Pininfarina-designed NOTE 60 Pro edition
NEW DELHI: A touch of Turin has arrived in India’s smartphone market, as Infinix puts the pedal to the metal on its premium ambitions with the launch of the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro Pininfarina Edition. Crafted in partnership with legendary Italian design house Pininfarina, the limited-edition device aims to bring supercar-inspired styling to the competitive mid-premium smartphone segment.
The launch follows the strong reception of the standard NOTE 60 Pro in India and marks the beginning of what both companies describe as a long-term strategic design collaboration. Best known for shaping some of the world’s most iconic automobiles, Pininfarina is now applying nearly a century of design expertise to consumer technology.
The new device stands apart through a carbon-fibre-inspired rear finish, exclusive co-branded detailing and a precision-engineered aerospace-grade aluminium frame. The premium treatment extends beyond the handset itself, with a luxury presentation box and bespoke software touches including custom themes, wallpapers, startup animations and sounds inspired by performance cars.
Speaking on the partnership, Infinix marketing head Miraj Gupta said the collaboration represents an important step in the brand’s premiumisation strategy.
“Infinix is accelerating its premium journey through collaborations that bring meaningful differentiation. By combining Pininfarina’s globally recognised design philosophy with our latest innovations in performance, AI, imaging and charging technology, we have created a smartphone that delivers both style and substance,” he said.
For Pininfarina, the project represents an opportunity to extend its design legacy beyond automobiles. The company’s senior vice president of brand Fabio Calorio said the partnership allowed Pininfarina to bring its principles of beauty and performance into the technology space.
At its core, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also packs a sizeable 6,500mAh battery supported by 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, alongside a 50MP optical image stabilisation camera, JBL-tuned dual stereo speakers and a suite of AI-powered features.
Additional hardware includes Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, a health monitoring sensor and Infinix’s Active Matrix Display system, designed to make notifications and device interactions more dynamic.
The limited-edition smartphone will be available exclusively in the Torino Black colourway with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Priced from Rs 35,999, including launch offers, the device will be sold through retail outlets and Flipkart. Buyers will also receive a complimentary MagPower Speaker bundled in the box.
To sweeten the deal, eligible Jio subscribers can access extended AI service benefits, cloud storage offers and additional cashback schemes.
With smartphone brands increasingly turning to luxury partnerships to stand out in a crowded market, Infinix’s alliance with Pininfarina signals that design is becoming as important a battleground as processing power and camera specifications. For consumers, it means the race to bring automotive-inspired elegance into everyday technology is well and truly underway.
