RIYADH: India is locking and loading for one of its biggest international esports assignments yet. NODWIN Gaming has unveiled India’s official VALORANT roster for the upcoming Esports Nations Cup 2026, assembling a line-up packed with some of the country’s most accomplished players as they prepare to battle for a share of a prize pool worth more than Rs 14 crore.

Set to take place in Riyadh from November 8 to 15, the VALORANT competition will feature 32 national teams and a prize pool of US$1.5 million, raising the stakes for what is rapidly becoming one of the most prestigious nation-based esports events on the calendar.

Leading India’s charge is in-game leader Sagnik Roy, a veteran competitor whose career stretches from the Counter-Strike era into modern VALORANT. He will be joined by Abhirup Choudhury, Aman Yadav, Venkatesh Sharma, Norbu Tsering, Shravana Sahoo and Daivik Chauhan.

The squad will be backed by substitutes Afaque Shaikh (Envy2K), Jayesh Negi (kibojn) and Rishi Vijayakumar (RvK), while Abhishek Bajaj takes charge as coach.

The roster blends individual firepower with proven chemistry. Hellf remains one of India’s most decorated esports competitors, with titles across multiple domestic tournaments including the VALORANT Conquerors Championship and The Esports Club Gauntlet.

Lightningfast arrives with equally impressive credentials. Widely regarded as one of India’s most complete players, he helped Velocity Gaming capture the VALORANT Challengers South Asia 2025 title before securing a top-six finish at VCT Ascension Pacific 2025. His trophy cabinet also includes victories in the VALORANT Conquerors Championship and Skyesports Champions Series.

Hoax and Venky add tactical flexibility and explosive duelling potential respectively, while Karam1L and Dc strengthen the line-up with valuable experience from India’s top-tier competitive circuit.

A key advantage for the team is familiarity. Hellf, Hoax, Venky and Techno have already enjoyed success together across multiple organisations, including a title-winning campaign with S8UL Esports at Predator League India 2026. Hellf, Hoax and Dc also lifted the Predator League India 2025 trophy with Orangutan, giving the national side a ready-made core that already understands how to win under pressure.

Speaking about the challenge ahead, India captain Hellf expressed confidence in the team’s ability to quickly gel despite coming from different competitive environments.

“Bringing together the best players from different teams is always a challenge, but many of us have competed alongside each other before. That gives us a strong starting point as we prepare for qualification and, hopefully, Riyadh,” he said.

The road to Saudi Arabia begins almost immediately. India will compete in the Asia regional qualifiers from June 26 to 28, where only two teams will progress to the main event.

Qualification for the tournament is split between direct invitations and regional competitions. Sixteen teams will earn automatic berths through the official ENC Rankings system, which awards points based on performances in regional and international VCT events. Fourteen additional places will be decided through online qualifiers, while two wildcard spots remain available.

Beyond VALORANT, India’s wider ENC campaign is gathering pace across multiple titles.

India’s League of Legends squad narrowly missed qualification after a semi-final defeat to Japan, while national teams for DOTA 2, MOBA Legends: 5v5!, Rocket League and Chess continue their qualification pushes. Grandmasters Nihal Sarin and Mitrabha Guha have already secured places at the main event, ensuring India will have representation across both traditional and digital mind sports.

With a blend of proven champions, rising stars and established chemistry, India’s VALORANT team now carries the hopes of a rapidly growing esports nation. The qualifiers are only days away, and for this line-up, the mission is clear: turn regional dominance into a ticket to Riyadh and a shot at international glory.
