Pompali Saha promoted to vice president at Motilal Oswal Private Wealth
Wealth management veteran steps into larger leadership role at Motilal Oswal
MUMBAI : Climbing the wealth ladder one leadership role at a time, Pompali Saha has been promoted to vice president at Motilal Oswal Private Wealth, marking another major milestone in her long-standing career in private wealth and financial services.
The elevation reflects Saha’s extensive experience in ultra high-net-worth client servicing, operational leadership and relationship management, areas that have become increasingly crucial in India’s fast-evolving wealth management sector.
Prior to her promotion, Saha served as associate vice president at the company, where she handled client service operations for a large UHNI portfolio spread across multiple locations. Her role involved overseeing complex investment servicing operations across portfolio management services, alternative investment funds, equity and debt products, while also leading teams focused on client engagement and operational efficiency.
Industry peers say her ability to balance client relationships with operational precision has helped strengthen service quality and improve retention across high-value accounts.
Announcing the development, Pompali Saha shared, “I’m happy to share that I have been promoted to a new position as vice president – client service zonal head at Motilal Oswal Private Wealth. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey so far. Excited for this new chapter ahead!”
Before joining Motilal Oswal Private Wealth, Saha built a strong foundation across some of the most recognised names in banking and wealth management. She worked as client relationship manager at Centrum Wealth and earlier served as client services manager at Julius Baer, where she gained hands-on experience in client servicing operations and wealth advisory support. Her career also includes a long stint at IIFL Wealth Finance Limited, where she worked as associate vice president, client servicing, handling high-net-worth portfolios and operational delivery functions.
Earlier in her professional journey, Saha worked with global financial institutions including Barclays Investment Bank, Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, building expertise across client servicing, operations management and investment support. Over the years, she has developed a reputation for strong client engagement, regulatory understanding and operational leadership, skills that are becoming increasingly valuable as wealth management firms focus more deeply on personalised services and long-term client retention.
Academically, Saha holds an executive MBA in banking and financial support services from MIT School of Distance Education and completed her Bachelor of Commerce from University of Mumbai.
As India’s private wealth sector continues expanding alongside rising investor participation and growing UHNI portfolios, Saha’s promotion signals the increasing importance of experienced leadership in delivering both relationship-driven service and operational excellence in the competitive wealth management space.
