RBI promotes five senior officers to executive director rank

The Reserve Bank of India has elevated five senior officers to the rank of executive director. The promotions, issued through an internal order by the central bank’s human resource management department, cover Gunveer Singh, Monisha Chakraborty, Suman Ray, Sudhakar Malli and Ravi Shankar.

Four of the five, namely Singh, Chakraborty, Ray and Malli, belong to the common seniority group cadre. Shankar comes from the Department of Statistics and Information Management cadre. All five are currently posted across key RBI departments in Mumbai, spanning the central office and the Mumbai regional office.

The RBI has said the effective dates of the promotions will be announced separately.
