Redcliffe labs marks WDD with Life Beyond Sugar push
MUMBAI: Sugar took a back seat this World Diabetes Day as Redcliffe Labs stirred up national awareness with its Life Beyond Sugar campaign, encouraging Indians to look beyond cravings and focus on conscious, preventive care. The initiative blends education, early detection and a dash of symbolism to spark healthier habits across the country.
The drive includes a complimentary pre-diabetes risk test along with free diet consultations for individuals with borderline or confirmed results. With nearly one in three Indian adults estimated to be prediabetic, Redcliffe Labs aims to nudge people towards early intervention rather than late-stage response.
In a move designed to demystify health jargon, the company has introduced a first-of-its-kind Diabetes Dictionary. Attached digitally to all test reports issued on the day, it simplifies commonly used medical terms to help people interpret their results with clarity and confidence.
To embody the campaign’s message, every Redcliffe Labs office and branch went completely sugar-free for the day, encouraging mindful eating at the workplace and signalling the organisation’s own commitment to healthier living.
Founder and CEO Aditya Kandoi said most diabetes cases in India are preventable, adding that lifestyle changes and timely diagnosis can help up to 70 per cent of prediabetic individuals reverse their condition. He noted that awareness paired with accessible diagnostics is key to changing long-term outcomes.
With more than 80 advanced laboratories and over 2,000 collection centres across 220 cities, Redcliffe Labs continues to expand access to reliable testing. Through Life Beyond Sugar, the company reinforces its push for preventive healthcare, empowering people to understand their risks and make informed choices for a healthier future.
