Green Gold strikes FAST gold with new 24×7 kids channel Green Gold TV

MUMBAI: If childhood nostalgia had a broadcast button, Green Gold Animation has just pressed it. The powerhouse behind some of India’s most-loved animated heroes has launched Green Gold TV, a 24×7 Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channel set to beam its universe of Indian stories straight into millions of connected homes.

Available across TCL, Airtel Xstream, RunnTV, YuppTV and Cloud TV with more partners on the way, the channel marks a major leap for Green Gold as it becomes one of the first Indian studios to enter the FAST ecosystem, a format reshaping how families consume entertainment on smart and connected TVs.

Green Gold TV brings a curated mix of animated films and full-length episodes in Hindi, featuring fan favourites like Super Bheem, Mighty Raju, Chhorr Police, Krishna Balram, Luv Kushh, Maha Ganesha and Vikram Betal. All content streams free, supported by ads, offering a lean-back, linear-style viewing experience built for co-watching.

Calling the launch a pivotal shift, Green Gold Animation founder & CEO Rajiv Chilaka said, “The television landscape is at the brink of a major transformation, with FAST channels redefining how audiences experience content. With Green Gold TV, we are excited to bring our catalogue of original Indian stories directly into living rooms across the country free, seamless, and in a format built for the future.”

The timing is strategic. India’s FAST space is accelerating rapidly on the back of exploding connected TV usage; industry estimates suggest connected TV households could surpass 150 million in the coming years. As CTV grows, so does the appetite for ad-supported streaming fuelled by linear-style discoverability without subscription fatigue.

Green Gold TV will operate as a separate feed from YouTube, focusing on uninterrupted, long-form storytelling. Programming follows a classic 22-minute episodic format complemented by 60-minute feature films, ensuring the rhythm of traditional TV meets the convenience of streaming.

Launching in December, the channel will debut with six marquee titles, gradually expanding into new IPs and fresh originals. The move unlocks new monetisation pathways through advertising partnerships while giving parents and children a safe, premium entertainment destination designed for the big screen.

By stepping early into the FAST arena, Green Gold Animation isn’t just keeping pace with the industry’s future, it’s helping shape it, one animated universe at a time.

MUMBAI: When classic hindi movie meets animation, the result is a fresh reel of nostalgia with a cartoon twist. Mukta Arts Ltd. and Green Gold Animation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on animated shows and feature films drawn from Mukta Arts’ four-decade treasure trove of iconic IPs. The partnership taps Mukta’s SGM Animation Studio launched in 2025 as its dedicated animation and games arm and Green Gold’s proven track record in building scalable, homegrown franchises. Creative teams from both sides have already kicked off discussions, with the first project currently in development.

The slate will draw inspiration from landmark Mukta films including Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Saudagar and Iqbal, plus character-led spin-offs from those universes. The aim is to reimagine these stories for today’s young, global audiences while preserving their emotional core.

Green Gold Animation (home of Chhota Bheem) founder and CEO Rajiv Chilaka said, “This partnership with SGM Studios allows us to apply our experience in building long-lasting animation IPs to a truly iconic film catalogue. Together, we aim to create animated worlds that are rooted in these legendary stories, yet designed to connect with today’s young, global audiences.”
