As for Savant, she was bumped off Kyunki… a few months ago. As Teesha, Savant had a fatal accident when Mandira Bedi’s car clashed with hers. Now roped into Des Mein, Savant claims to have been married to Upadhyay when the latter suffered a loss of memory after his accident.

Both Savant and Upadhyay are Balaji actors who have made their way into Aroona Irani’s production. Is Irani going the Ekta way, with characters losing their fidelity along with their memories after having accidents? The Kyunki story had followed a similar track when Mihir of Kyunki had an accident, lost his memory and then got into a marital relationship with Mandira, when the first wife was still alive and kicking.
