Gurmeet Singh is new Music Today business head

MUMBAI: Gurmeet Singh has taken over as the new business head of Music Today, the music division of India Today.

Singh, who succeeds Venkat Rolla, was earlier the national sales and marketing manager of Music Today. Singh, who has been with the company for the last two years, was Regional Head with Sony Music before he joined Music Today.

Music Today, which started off as a forum for classicial Indian music, has ventured into film music with the recent Maqbool. Music Today also represents eight international Music labels in India, under a licensing or distribution arrangement.
