11th Annual STAR Screen Awards to air on 15 Jan on Star Plus

Star Plus is all set to host the first set of awards of the year, they being the 11th Annual STAR Screen Awards, the only awards to be judged by a jury of eminent personalities from the film industry itself.

The STAR Screen Awards is a recognition for the stars who come in large numbers to be a part of this glitzy evening that is filled with scintillating star performances, felicitations, cheering and well deserved recognition for their best work.

The awards will be aired on Saturday 15 January at 8.00 PM on Star Plus. The awards will also entail Take One, an episode that is devoted to the six diverse directors of the year. Anchor Sajid Khan will chat up with the 6 directors—Yash Chopra (Veer Zaara), Ashustosh Gowarikar (Swades), Farhan Akhtar (Lakshya), Sanjay Gadvi (Dhoom), Kunal Kohli (Hum Tum) & Farah Khan (Main Hoon Na) on their films, trivia from the films, never seen footage, some memorable experiences they have had during the making of the films.

These are the top runners of the year. Their films have been lauded, appreciated and loved by the audiences and critics.

MUMBAI: Samsung TV Plus has just turned up the laughter volume and it’s completely free. The leading free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service in India has launched Kings of Comedy, a premium comedy channel featuring some of the country’s most beloved primetime shows. Available exclusively on Samsung TV Plus, the channel delivers back-to-back hits including Comedy Nights with Kapil, Khatra Khatra Khatra, and Comedy Nights Bachao, with no login or subscription required.

The launch marks a milestone for free streaming in India, offering audiences a dedicated comedy destination directly from their Samsung TV home screen. It arrives as Samsung TV Plus India celebrates its 5th anniversary, during which the service has grown its monthly active users by 42 per cent and more than doubled its total viewing hours. The platform now offers over 180 free channels across 14 languages.
