DD to air series examining Kashmir crisis

MUMBAI: National broadcaster Doordarshan will telecast a new Series titled Kashmir from 26 June, 2005. The Series will be telecast on Sundays at 9:30 pm on the National Network on DD-1.

The series offers a detailed look at the genesis, build up and eventual culmination of what is called the crisis in Kashmir. To this end is traced the history of Kashmir, focused primarily on the events from 1947 onwards. The series makes extensive use of painstakingly sourced archival materials, actuality shoots, computer graphics and very extensive aerial coverage of Kashmir, Ladakh and Siachen.

The series has been written and directed by Serbjeet Singh, Indias famous Mountain Man.
