Bharti Airtel bags ‘Wireless Service Provider of the Year’ and ‘Competitive Service Provider of the Year’ awards

New Delhi, June 18, 2006: Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharti Airtel Limited has been adjudged as ‘CEO of the Year’ in the service provider category at the prestigious Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards 2006. In addition, Bharti Airtel Limited has bagged the coveted ‘Wireless Service Provider of the Year’ Award and the ‘Competitive Service Provider of the Year’ Award.

The ‘CEO of the Year’ Award has been conferred on Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal for his outstanding leadership and took into account Revenue growth of the Company; Market share retained and captured by the Company in 2005; and Financial milestones achieved by the Company in 2005.

The Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards recognise companies and individuals that have pushed the boundaries of excellence – rising above the competition and demonstrating outstanding performance in the information and communications technology industry across Asia Pacific. This year’s awards were hotly contested with over 70 prominent ICT players and

telecommunications companies from across the region vying for the awards in three categories – Service Provider, Telecom Vendor, and Enterprise Vendor. The shortlisiting and final selections were made by an eminent panel of judges, which were supported by a highly qualified research team from Frost & Sullivan.

The ‘Competitive Service Provider of the Year’ Award was won by the Company for demonstrating a competitive edge in 2005 based on the following parameters – Consistent revenue growth; EBITDA and net profit growth; Business strategy leading to revenue diversity and minimized risk; Customer satisfaction; Delivering exceptional value to customers – competitively priced plans.

Industry leaders join jury as nominations surge for marketing tech awards

NEW DELHI: The ad:tech Honours Awards 2026 are gearing up for a bigger second edition, with Ajay Kakar, head of corporate branding at Adani Group, set to chair the jury for India’s technology-focused marketing awards.

Organised in partnership with the International Advertising Association India Chapter, the awards celebrate the growing influence of technology in shaping modern advertising and marketing outcomes. This year’s edition has drawn a strong response from across the industry, signalling rising momentum around innovation in marketing technology.

The organisers say the nominations reflect a wide range of ideas and approaches, highlighting how brands and agencies are increasingly leaning on platforms, tools and data to sharpen their campaigns and connect with audiences more effectively.

Leading the evaluation process, Kakar will head a jury made up of senior leaders from across brands, agencies and technology platforms.
