PVR Q2 net jumps 27% to Rs 79 million

MUMBAI: PVR has posted a net profit of Rs 79.3 million for the quarter ended 30 September 2008, a jump of 27 per cent as against Rs 62.5 million in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

During the period, net sales has seen a growth of 26 per cent to stand at Rs 784.2 million, from Rs 625.7 million in the year ago period.

The multiplex operator’s screen count rose 29 per cent to 101 during the quarter from the previous year. Average ticket prices also rose 13 per cent to Rs 140.
