Walmart hosts parties of The Princess and the Frog

MUMBAI: Walmart is rolling out the “pink” carpet for approximately 365 kids from Boys & Girls Clubs of America at a series of special viewing parties celebrating the national release of Disney‘s The Princess and the Frog.
Little girls will enjoy a fairytale evening that includes making a grand entrance on a pink carpet at the event and donning the latest Disney Princess looks from Walmart.


Private parties and film screenings are taking place in Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte, Tampa, and Birmingham. 
 
A special pre-opening viewing was held in New Orleans, the setting for the movie, on Wednesday. The festivities will also include music from the film, photo opportunities with character cut-outs, and special princess activities. The Princess and the Frog introduces the first new Disney princess in a decade.


“Walmart is happy to provide kids from Boys & Girls Clubs of America with a magical film experience, along with a selection of film merchandise from our stores,” said Walmart US division president Rosalind Brewer. “This holiday all families can make their little girls feel like princesses with Walmart‘s affordable product assortment, conveniently located in The Princess and the Frog destinations in most Walmart stores.”


Walmart is adding its own holiday magic by offering a wide selection of film-inspired merchandise at affordable prices. All girls can be Princess Tiana with apparel, accessories, books, music, bedding, toys and more, located in The Princess and the Frog destinations in most Walmart stores nationwide and on walmart.com.


From tiaras and tees to royal scepters and sleepwear, Walmart‘s assortment of The Princess and the Frog merchandise is offered $10 or below including:

Mukta Arts and Green Gold ink MOU to animate iconic film IPs

Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan to spawn animated shows plus features.

MUMBAI: When classic hindi movie meets animation, the result is a fresh reel of nostalgia with a cartoon twist. Mukta Arts Ltd. and Green Gold Animation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on animated shows and feature films drawn from Mukta Arts’ four-decade treasure trove of iconic IPs. The partnership taps Mukta’s SGM Animation Studio launched in 2025 as its dedicated animation and games arm and Green Gold’s proven track record in building scalable, homegrown franchises. Creative teams from both sides have already kicked off discussions, with the first project currently in development.

The slate will draw inspiration from landmark Mukta films including Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Saudagar and Iqbal, plus character-led spin-offs from those universes. The aim is to reimagine these stories for today’s young, global audiences while preserving their emotional core.

Green Gold Animation (home of Chhota Bheem) founder and CEO Rajiv Chilaka said, “This partnership with SGM Studios allows us to apply our experience in building long-lasting animation IPs to a truly iconic film catalogue. Together, we aim to create animated worlds that are rooted in these legendary stories, yet designed to connect with today’s young, global audiences.”
