UTV starts extensive promotion of Tees Maar Khan
MUMBAI: UTV has planned extensive promotions for Farah Khan’s upcoming comedy flick Tees Maar Khan (TMK).
The TMK team comprising Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Farah Khan will be embarking on a whirlwind four-city overseas tour next week.
The team will travel through Dubai, London, New York and Toronto before returning to India for the final leg of promotions.
Tees Maar Khan is releasing on 22 December in the UK, US and Canada with special paid previews on 21 December and on 23 December in Dubai.
Akshay, Katrina and Farah will be in Dubai on 14 December, where they will open the advance bookings of the film, at the Grand Cineplex theatre at 7 pm. The team will sell tickets to the first 20 lucky fans who will queue up for a glimpse of the stars. The stars then move on to London for promotions on 15 December where they will attend a BBC In Conversation event with 200 audience members who will have a chance to interact with the stars.
The tour will continue in New York on 16 December to promote the film with a special audience interaction event at Big Cinemas, Manhattan. Following this trip, Akshay Kumar will take a trip to Canada where again fans will get a chance to meet and greet him at Cineplex Brampton, Toronto on 17 December, one of the largest theatre locations in Toronto.

Zee5 and Applause Entertainment team up for whodunnit ‘Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa’
Rajat Kapoor directs star-studded murder mystery streaming from 10 April.
MUMBAI: Zee5 is serving up another killer collaboration and this time, the murder mystery comes with a generous side of dark humour and family dysfunction. The streaming platform has partnered with Applause Entertainment and Mithya Talkies to bring Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa, a fresh, twisted whodunnit written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker and actor Rajat Kapoor. The film will stream exclusively on Hindi Zee5 from 10 April.
The movie reimagines the classic murder mystery genre with a contemporary, darkly comic edge. It revolves around a group of friends and family who smile, drink, and celebrate together until the silence snaps and long-buried secrets spill out. The stellar ensemble cast includes Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, Waluscha De Sousa, Saurabh Shukla, Chandrachoor Rai, Neil Bhoopalam, Koel Purie, Palomi Ghosh, and Rajat Kapoor himself.
This latest offering continues the successful partnership between Zee5 and Applause Entertainment, which has previously delivered diverse hits such as Mithya, Bloody Brothers, and Jab Khuli Kitaab.
