Salman Khan aligns with UTV Spotboy for first production venture
MUMBAI: Following his brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, Salman Khan has delved into producing films. He has tied up with UTV Spotboy for Chillar Party.
Confirming the same UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur says, “Indeed, Chillar Party is now a co-production between UTV Spotboy and Salman Khan Productions, with Ronnie Screwvala and Salman as producers of this film.”
When Khan saw the film, he loved it immensely and expressed a keen desire to be a part of it. He has also decided to promote the film.
Chillar Party is a film about a gang of innocent children who lead a carefree and fun-filled life in Chandan Nagar Colony. Soon Fatka and Bheedu come into their lives and become an inseparable part of Chillar Party. The lives of these children get difficult when Bheedu’s life is endangered, thanks to a mean politician. Together they fight the big bad world of politics and show that even kids can move mountains.
Directed by first timer Vikas Bahl, the film has Ranbir Kapoor doing an item number.
The film is slated for release in July.

Naila Grrewal slots in at seven on the back of the returning comedy series Maamla Legal Hai, while Rashmika Mandanna climbs to eighth, riding mounting anticipation for Cocktail 2.
The list, available exclusively on the IMDb app for Android and iOS, tracks trending Indian entertainers and filmmakers each week, drawing on data from more than 200m monthly visits to the platform worldwide.
Further down the rankings, Raaka is keeping two of its biggest names in the spotlight. Deepika Padukone holds 11th position, with Allu Arjun close behind at 13th, as the film continues to find traction with audiences.
The list offers fans a weekly pulse on who is breaking through, who is holding steady, and who is fading. It is a barometer as unsparing as the box office itself.
