Stanley Ka Dabba in for tax exemption
MUMBAI: Fox Star Studios had recently organised a special screening of Amol Gupte’s Stanley Ka Dabba for the Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit at the Film Division Auditorium and a host of media personalities.
Soon after seeing Amol Gupte’s Stanley Ka Dabba, the chief minister said that her government would very soon make the movie run tax free in the theatres of the capital. “It’s a heart touching, wonderful film & commendable effort. One movie that everyone must watch. It’s a film that deserves to be tax free,” she said.
Stanley Ka Dabba is a film that explores various aspects of school life through the eyes of kids.
Recently, Gupte had recently organised a screening for the Maharashtra chief minister where the minister’s wife Satvasheela was also present. The chief minister’s wife, a teacher herself, seemed to be moved by the character of the child-soldier who faces different odds at school and comes out victorious.
“It was heartrending to see how children deal with these issues. I hope that there are no Stanleys in our country and all children have healthy and trouble-free childhood,” she said. “As far as Stanley Ka Dabba is concerned, I hope that the state government gives a tax exemption for the film,” she observed.
