Shemaroo to release Bheja Fry 2 overseas
MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment is all set to release Bheja Fry 2, the sequel of Sagar Ballary’s Bheja Fry, in overseas territories.
The company owns all commercial and non-commercial rights of exhibition, distribution and exploitation and will release the film on 17 June across different theatres worldwide excluding India, Bhutan, and Sikkim.
Avers Shemaroo Entertainment Director Hiren Gada, “Bheja Fry was very well received by the audience worldwide. In fact, people are waiting for the sequel to catch the desi spunk on foreign land. We are confident that Bheja Fry 2 will do even better than the first part. Other than traditional medium, we are also planning to monetise the movie on newer and emerging platforms like IPTV, mobile and Internet in the long term.”
The film, produced by Mukul Deora and directed by Sagar Ballary, stars Vinay Pathak, Minissha Lamba ,Amole Gupte, Kay Kay Menon, Suresh Menon, M.T. Shekharan, Rahul Vohra, Aditi Govitrikar, Rahul Singh and Virendra Saxena.
The film is being distributed in India by Watchtower International.

Naila Grrewal slots in at seven on the back of the returning comedy series Maamla Legal Hai, while Rashmika Mandanna climbs to eighth, riding mounting anticipation for Cocktail 2.
The list, available exclusively on the IMDb app for Android and iOS, tracks trending Indian entertainers and filmmakers each week, drawing on data from more than 200m monthly visits to the platform worldwide.
Further down the rankings, Raaka is keeping two of its biggest names in the spotlight. Deepika Padukone holds 11th position, with Allu Arjun close behind at 13th, as the film continues to find traction with audiences.
The list offers fans a weekly pulse on who is breaking through, who is holding steady, and who is fading. It is a barometer as unsparing as the box office itself.
