Doordarshan to re-telecast ‘Ehsaas-e-Kashmir’

NEW DELHI: Re-visit the experience of Ehsaas-e-Kashmir with Doordarshan set to re-telecast the show that featured eminent violinist Zubin Mehta and was held in Shalimar Bagh in Srinagar last month.The telecast will be at 9.30 pm on DD National on 20 October.

The concert also featured India’s Abhay Rustom Sopori, son of santoor maestro Bhajan Sopori who blended with the Bavarian State Orchestra in a mesmerising performance.

The 90-minute concert hosted by actor Gul Panag was held on 7 September, a day after Mehta received the Tagore Cultural Harmony Award in New Delhi.

Mehta had said that the aim was to spread the message of peace. “I didn’t choose Kashmir, it chose me,” Mehta said.
