Toon Disney unleashes ‘Power Rangers Dino Thunder’ for Diwali
MUMBAI: Toon Disney has lined up a festive extravaganza in Jetix Dinomite Diwali. The show is all set to redefine big, explosive and hi-octane action with the launch of Power Ranger’s latest season Dino Thunder. Toon Disney will be airing this extravaganza for three days which will comprise adventure spanning special features involving superheroes, the launch of some of the biggest shows worldwide alongside Power Rangers Dino Thunder and big movies for the first time on Toon Disney. Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! and W.I.T.C.H. are the two additional shows to hit television screens this season. |
Toon Disney hosted the Indian television premiere of these popular shows with a special screening of Power Rangers Dino Thunder on 30 October. A special marathons of Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! and W.I.T.C.H will be aired on 31 October and 1 November respectively. Thereafter, kids can tune in regularly to watch the entire season of Power Ranger Dino Thunder – The Series on weekdays at 4.30 pm, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! at 6 pm on weekdays starting 2 November and W.I.T.C.H on weekends at 3.30 pm from 12 November. Rated as the most successful kids franchise of 1990’s by AC Nielson having been on TV in over 140 countries, Power Rangers is one of world’s most popular live-action series featuring exciting, action packed entertainment that appeals to kid of all ages. In their latest incarnation Dino Thunder, the Power Rangers will have exciting and finely honed action, featuring everyday teens morph into superheroes defending the world from gargantuan forces of evil. Commenting on the three show launches and the prospects for the Power Rangers in India, Walt Disney Television International- India director programming and production Nachiket Pantvaidya said, “All these shows are targeted to give our viewers a super-dynamite offering of entertainment and also herald the debut of latest season of Power Rangers, a key property that has touched heights of popularity across the glob.” To add more “might” to Jetix Dinomite Diwali the channel will, for the first time, feature movies such as The Amazing Zorro and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea on 31 October and Inspector Gadget’s Last Case and Right on Track on 1 November. Mukta Arts and Green Gold ink MOU to animate iconic film IPs
Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan to spawn animated shows plus features.
MUMBAI: When classic hindi movie meets animation, the result is a fresh reel of nostalgia with a cartoon twist. Mukta Arts Ltd. and Green Gold Animation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on animated shows and feature films drawn from Mukta Arts’ four-decade treasure trove of iconic IPs. The partnership taps Mukta’s SGM Animation Studio launched in 2025 as its dedicated animation and games arm and Green Gold’s proven track record in building scalable, homegrown franchises. Creative teams from both sides have already kicked off discussions, with the first project currently in development.
The slate will draw inspiration from landmark Mukta films including Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Saudagar and Iqbal, plus character-led spin-offs from those universes. The aim is to reimagine these stories for today’s young, global audiences while preserving their emotional core.
Green Gold Animation (home of Chhota Bheem) founder and CEO Rajiv Chilaka said, “This partnership with SGM Studios allows us to apply our experience in building long-lasting animation IPs to a truly iconic film catalogue. Together, we aim to create animated worlds that are rooted in these legendary stories, yet designed to connect with today’s young, global audiences.”
