Zee Cinema announces ‘Cinema Premier League’ from 7th April to 27th May
MUMBAI: You have seen your beloved stars shake a leg on the dance floor, you’ve seen them perform death defying stunts, you’ve seen them making you laugh and you’ve seen them entertain you through your favourite movies… But now, get ready for more drama and entertainment in another league all together!
The stage is all set for the biggest entertainment battle! It will be Salman v/s Akshay, Rajinikanth v/s Aamir, Shah Rukh Khan v/s Suriya, Varun v/s Tiger and much more. Promising viewers, a unique mélange of competition, drama and entertainment, Zee Cinema, Home of Blockbusters is all set to enthral its viewers with an interesting line-up of movies this summer under Cinema Premier League – Champion Filmein Har Din. While the entire nation is gripped by the cricket mania, it will be a clash of the titans on the small screen. Starting Saturday, 7th April to Sunday, 27th May, five teams – Khan Riders, Family Indians, South Kings, Comedy Challengers and Action Warriors will battle it out for 50 days lagaataar, catering to every movie aficionado.
The crowd favorite Khan Riders boasts of star players including the biggest blockbusters of Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan like Dangal, Raees, Wanted, Chennai Express and many more.
Striking with a full dose of entertainment, Family Indians is a perfect mix of young new age blood including Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Rajkummar Rao’s Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana and experience with the legendary library of Sooraj Barjatya’s Rajshri Productions including Vivaah, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and many more.
Lightning the atmosphere, Comedy Challengers will battle it out with showcasing movies of the five most successful comedy franchises to the likes of Fukrey Returns, Housefull, Golmaal, Dhamaal and Phir Hera Pheri.
Bringing the southern flavor, South Kings presents the best of the best movies of Rajinikanth, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Jr. NTR, Suriya, Vikram including Suriya S3, I…, Time Story, The Real Tevar and many more.
Pumping the adrenaline, Action Warriors brings to the field India’s biggest action entertainers with Akshay Kumar’s Holiday, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi, Vidyut Jammwal’s Commando 2, etc
Leading from front will be the celebrity supporters of each team; Mandira Bedi cherry-picks to support Khan Riders, while the ideal husband, son, and brother Hiten Tejwani represents the team Family Indians. The graceful and charming Bhabhiji, Saumya Tandon represents Comedy Challengers, South Kings has the beautiful Anita Hassanandani in its corner while the handsome Karan Wahi chooses to support Action Warriors.

MUMBAI: Cupid’s arrow just got a plot twist and it’s heading straight for your TV screen. This Valentine’s Day, Zee Cinema is turning up the heat with the world television premiere of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, a raw, rule-breaking romantic drama that proves love doesn’t always come wrapped in roses.
Set to air on Saturday, 14 February at 8pm, the film stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, directed by Milap Zaveri. It dives headfirst into obsession, heartbreak, and the kind of unconditional love that leaves scorch marks. Rane plays Vikramaditya, a powerful politician whose all-consuming passion for actress Adaa spirals into chaos when his feelings go unreturned unleashing a storm of emotion, misunderstanding, and life-altering consequences.
The timing couldn’t be sharper. Audiences are clearly craving intense love stories over sugar-coated ones, and this film taps straight into that vein. Harshvardhan Rane already has a loyal fanbase from his cult hit Sanam Teri Kasam, which cemented his status as the go-to guy for heart-wrenching romance especially among younger viewers who keep the film on repeat.
