MUMBAI: We all have seen corruption and apathy in the government and police force etc. from close quarters at some point in our lives. At most times, we have not protested and merely given up since the idea of taking on the system seems impossible. But imagine if you could teach these corrupt officials a lesson. Milap Zaveri’s Satyamev Jayate is one such action entertainer! A cold-hearted killer is on the loose. The names on his kill-list have two things in common – they are all policemen and each one is reputedly corrupt. This thriller stars John Abrabham and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead along with debutant Aisha Sharma in a pivotal role. Zee Cinema – Home Of Blockbusters is all set to air the World TV Premiere of ‘Satyameva Jayate’ on Saturday, 15th December at 9pm.

Bringing back one of the main themes of the 70s and 80s of weeding out corruption with action and enthusiasm, Satyameva Jayate brings back the essence with effortless acting and hard-hitting dialogues. Satyamev Jayate, a huge box office success, is John Abrham’s second hit in 2018 after Parmanu. While John is tearing up tyres and beating the bad guys to a pulp, he infuses the angry young man role with passion and energy. Manoj Bajpayee as is in top form and his ace act as the fiercely determined and honest cop adds credibility to the film. Taking the overall feel of the movie to another level and adding an oomph factor is the gorgeousNora Fatehi in a remake of the sensational chartbuster song ‘Dilbar Dilbar’.

Commenting on the USP of the film John Abraham says, “In a strange way, Satyameva Jayate is an aspirational film. Satyameva Jayate is today’s angry young man who says, what is happening in our country? Look at women, children, animals. Look at what is happening! It’s become a degenerated society? So, we have given our commercial take on how to deal with that, how to deal with corruption, how to deal with molestation.”

The movie begins with Veer (John Abraham), cremating a corrupt cop in the middle of the night. Early next morning, he leaves the victim's ashes outside the police station stuffed into an urn accompanied with a message to stop accepting bribes. When several such police inspectors are burnt alive in a series of merciless killings, the entire police force is rocked with terror including DCP Shivansh (Manoj Bajpayee). With everyone questioning the system and the media looking for answers, the public is shaken with fear. While on one hand Veer is portrayed as a serial killer, his soft side is seen when he meets Shikha (Aisha Sharma) a vet, who also volunteers to clean up beaches in Mumbai. What follows are a series of encounters that reveal that Veer and Shivansh are against the same enemy!
