Well, its that time of the year again, when the ballots are open for the viewers to decide who is their favorite star.

VIJAY AWARDS; unlike other award ceremonies, where a panel of doyens from the particular sphere selects the best performers, the fans from across Tamil Nadu would select their favorite actors, actress and others. This is the awards by the people and of the people for the stars.

The Vijay Awards Rasigan Express started its journey across 9 cities to register votes for the nominees in the various categories. Reliance Mobile Vijay Awards now enters its 2nd phase of activity as the voting for the favorite stars goes wireless.

Viewers can now cast their vote and make their favorite star and take home the coveted award. There are many ways for viewers to cast their votes. Voting lines opened October 28, 2006 (2000 hrs) and close on November 20, 2006 (2359 hrs)

Reliance Subscribers have two methods to cast their vote. They can call ‘1234’ from their Reliance Mobile and say “Vijay Awards” or they have to click on R-World and follow the path >> Hot N New >> Hot Telly >> Vijay Awards and cast their vote for their favorite.
Other mobile users can also vote via SMS; just type “VA” and send to 7827 or call the televoting number 1904 424 2222 “xx” from their BSNL landline. They could also log onto http://vijay.indya.com to vote.

On air episodes:

Just tune into Vijay Awards, every Saturday @ 7.30pm (from November 4 – 18, 2006) to find out who is leading in every category; as Yuhi Sethu gives the weekly updates on the voting trends. Up next are two special episodes (Saturdays @ 7pm), where the who’s who of the industry talk about who could be the winner of these favorite awards and also presenting their views on who are the favorites and who is likely to take home the award would be the grand jury of the Vijay Awards.
