NEWS18 Odia brings exclusive LIVE coverage of Snanayatra from Puri
India’s largest news Network, News18 will bring exclusive LIVE coverage of Snanayatra for its Odia audiences on News18 Odia. The Snanayatra is a bathing festival celebrated on the Purnima. As per rituals, the deities Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra are brought out from the Jagannath Temple and taken in a procession to the Snana Bedi. The idols are showered with 108 pots of pious water and decorated for the devotees.
For 'Snanayatra’ the first major event of Sri Jagannath Rathayatra of Puri, News18 Odia will Telecast LIVE rituals on 05th June’20 from 0600am onwards. Experienced preachers will be in the studio for LIVE commentary.
In Odisha, Rathayatra has been the biggest TV news programme as the occasion is considered supremely auspicious by the people of the state. This year, the annual fete will go ahead as per tradition, but without any congregation of devotees in view of the coronavirus crisis and the entry will be restricted to enter Bada Danda during the festival. New show shifts from debates to decoding global conflicts and impacts
MUMBAI: News18 India has rolled out a new war-focused programme, Command Centre, featuring Gaurav Arya, as it looks to offer viewers a sharper, more grounded take on global conflicts amid rising tensions in West Asia.
Positioned as an “insider war room”, the show moves away from conventional panel debates and instead focuses on explaining military developments, decoding strategy and connecting global events to their everyday impact, from fuel prices to economic shifts.
The format leans heavily on visuals and data. The studio has been designed like a command hub, complete with large LED war maps, real-time graphics and an alert system to track developments as they unfold.
At the centre of it all is Arya, who brings his military background to simplify complex war strategies for viewers. His signature line, “Seedhi baat samjhiye”, anchors the show’s promise of clarity over noise.
