Global IT Industry Veteran Phaneesh Murthy joins the board of Value Point Systems
MUMBAI: Phaneesh Murthy, global IT industry veteran has joined the board of Value Point Systems, one of South Asia's leading digital transformation catalyst. He is inducted into the board of Value Point Systems as an additional director.
Phaneesh Murthy has been following the growth of Value Point Systems over the last few years and its ambitions to grow at a global level. Value Point Systems is a 28 years old Systems Integrator and Managed Services Company growing very fast and expanding into new technologies and geographies. Phaneesh Murthy brings in the required credibility for Value Point Systems in capturing global markets.
Phaneesh Murthy will guide the board of directors of Value Point Systems in creating a global vision & strategic roadmap to transform, from an IT infrastructure products & Services company into a leader in digital transformation solutions and higher value services.
Phaneesh Murthy is an accomplished technology industry thought leader having pioneered newer business models and bases of differentiation for high growth. Phaneesh Murthy comes with industry experience spanning more than 3 decades in sales and marketing, product solutions, and structuring and managing outsourcing deals.

Phaneesh Murthy's forte is developing and managing the growth of organizations. He has been associated with multiple leading IT companies in the capacity of director, president and CEO and has led their transformational journey. Before joining Value Point Systems, Phaneesh Murthy served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at iGATE Corporation where he led the turnaround effort, divested the staffing businesses, streamlined the company's delivery model, completed a large acquisition financed with public bonds and increased the value of the Company by a factor of 30 over 10 years. Prior to this, he served as the Director of Infosys. While at Infosys, he was a Member of the Board and oversaw Global Operations, Sales and Marketing and the Advanced Technology Practice Phaneesh Murthy started his career with Sonata Software Ltd. in 1987 working in Sales and Marketing.
Phaneesh Murthy holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Kamlesh Singh receives Haldi Ghati Award from MMCF
India Today Group editor honoured for three decades of journalism at Udaipur ceremony.
MUMBAI- Kamlesh Singh just turned a lifetime of sharp words into a shiny shield because when journalism wakes up a society, even the Maharana of Mewar wants to pin a medal on it.
The Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) conferred its prestigious Haldi Ghati Award on Kamlesh Singh, a senior editor at the India Today Group, during a ceremony in Udaipur on 15 March 2026. The national award, instituted in 1981-82, recognises “work of permanent value that initiates an awakening in society through the medium of journalism.”
Singh, who leads several editorial initiatives including Aaj Tak Radio, the Teen Taal community and The Lallantop, was presented the honour by Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Managing Trustee of MMCF. The citation highlighted his three decades of contributions to Indian media, innovations in digital journalism, mentoring young reporters, and his popular podcast persona “Tau” on Teen Taal, which fosters thoughtful public discourse.
The Haldi Ghati Award, named after the historic Battle of Haldighati symbolising valour and resilience, is one of four national awards given annually by MMCF. Past recipients include Tavleen Singh, Piyush Pandey and Raj Chengappa.
Other honourees this year included Padma Vibhushan Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Vedamurti Devvrat Rekhe, Treeman of India Marimuthu Yoganathan, Vir Chakra Capt Rizwan Malik, and US-based researcher Molly Emma Aitken, who received the Colonel James Tod Award for contributions to understanding Mewar’s spirit and values.
In an era where headlines often shout louder than substance, the MMCF quietly reminded everyone that real journalism isn’t about noise, it’s about the quiet, persistent work that stirs society awake, one thoughtful story at a time.
