MUMBAI: Premiering under the Flix First programming block on &flix, this animated musical comedy is all about an animal ‘toon’ with a Christmas message. Directed by Timothy Reckart and written by Carlos Kotkin and Simon Moore, ‘The Star (2017)’ will premiere on &flix, the all-new destination for the most-awaited Hollywood hits, this Sunday, October 14 at 9PM. The American comic opera stars the magnificent vocals of the famous Hollywood actors including names like Steven Yeun, Gina Rodriguez, Zachary Levi, Keegan-Michael Key, Kelly Clarkson, Patricia Heaton, Kristin Chenoweth, Tracy Morgan, Tyler Perry, and Oprah Winfrey.
A small yet gallant donkey, Bo, dreams of a life beyond the daily village mill. One fine day, Bo finds the courage to escape, and goes on the adventure that he had dreamt of. On his journey, he joins an affectionate sheep, Ruth who lost her flock and Dave, a dove with soaring aspirations. Along with three humorous camels and some peculiar stable animals, Bo and his companions follow the Star and become the unsung heroes in the greatest story ever told – ‘The first Christmas’. A prominent tale of faith and friendship was now established. Keeping true to the proposition of &flix, of being the best destination for the most awaited Hollywood films, this film is full of adventure and fun along with biblical references.
MUMBAI: India’s most famous hot seat is about to welcome an unlikely first-timer. For the first time on Hindi general entertainment television, industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla will appear on Kaun Banega Crorepati, the iconic quiz show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
The special episode marks a rare meeting point of boardroom heft and prime-time television, bringing one of India’s most influential business leaders face to face with the country’s most enduring screen legend. It is a crossover that blends intellect, leadership and popular culture, all under KBC’s familiar spotlight.
Birla’s appearance dovetails neatly with the show’s current theme, Jahaan Akal Hai, Wahan Akad Hai, which celebrates the confidence that comes from clarity of thought and knowledge. His presence lends weight to the idea that sharp thinking and conviction are as vital in life as they are in the quiz chair.
In a thoughtful conversation with Bachchan, Birla shared an upbeat view of India’s economic journey, pointing to the nation’s rapid growth and the scale of opportunity opening up across industries and communities. He spoke of momentum, ambition and a future shaped by enterprise and ideas.
The episode is not all serious talk.
