Disneys newest family series oye jassie!
MUMBAI : Following the success of its original live action productions, ‘Best of Luck Nikki’, ‘The Suite Life of Karan and Kabir’, ‘Disney Q – The Family Mastermind’ and ‘Shake It Up’, Disney Channel, India’s leading entertainment destination for kids and families will premiere a new fun filled comedy series – ‘Oye Jassie!’ on 13th October at 11.00 am.
In the series, Jassie, a small town girl from Karnal, makes her way to the city of dreams, Mumbai, in the hope of becoming famous. But her life takes an unexpected twist when she takes up a job as Nanny in the high-profile Malhotra Family and welcomes into her life 13-year-old fashionista Ayesha, one of the prettiest teens in her school; 12-year-old Rocky, the smooth and one of the biggest pranksters Rocky; 10-year-old calm and brilliant minded Subu, the adorable and full of wise-cracks 7-year-old Tia along with Tony, the lazy bored House-keeper and a 7-foot Asian Water Monitor Lizard – Shri Premchand. From paint ball fights, to school plays, to winning over rival nannies, Jassie’s life is a roller coaster as she and the family embraces the highs and lows of young adulthood together.

In the premiere episode, Jassie accepts a job as a nanny and moves in with the Malhotra Family – high-flying superstar couple Reisha and Rahul Malhotra, their four kids and the beloved 7-foot Asian Water Monitor Lizard. While Jassie’s new big city life is full of opportunity and excitement, she quickly discovers how much she relies on the support and advice of the kids in her care. Also helping Jassie navigate her new big city adventure is Tony, the family’s beloved yet frosty butler and Lucky, the building’s young doorman.
A unique blend of comedy and emotions, ‘Oye Jassie!’ stars the multi-talented Tara Sutaria as Jassie, who has previously been the hit Disney shows – Big Bada Boom and The Suite Life of Karan and Kabir. Additionally, the show also brings in the popular face from television and movies – Simple Kaur and Harsh Vashishtha as Reisha and Rahul Malhotra, Ahsaas Channa as Ayesha, Kenneth Desai as Tony along with Mohit Bagri as Rishi, Ved Tarde as Subbu, Diya Chalwad as Tia and Devansh Doshi as Lucky.

News18 India launches Command Centre war explainer with Arya
New show shifts from debates to decoding global conflicts and impacts
MUMBAI: News18 India has rolled out a new war-focused programme, Command Centre, featuring Gaurav Arya, as it looks to offer viewers a sharper, more grounded take on global conflicts amid rising tensions in West Asia.
Positioned as an “insider war room”, the show moves away from conventional panel debates and instead focuses on explaining military developments, decoding strategy and connecting global events to their everyday impact, from fuel prices to economic shifts.
The format leans heavily on visuals and data. The studio has been designed like a command hub, complete with large LED war maps, real-time graphics and an alert system to track developments as they unfold.
At the centre of it all is Arya, who brings his military background to simplify complex war strategies for viewers. His signature line, “Seedhi baat samjhiye”, anchors the show’s promise of clarity over noise.

The weekday show will air in the afternoon slot and will also feature Gaurav Shukla, adding to its editorial depth.
