Zee Cinema brings to you a blockbuster weekend with World Television Premieres of Mili and Bimbisara
Mumbai: This weekend, Zee Cinema is the only place to be if you’re seeking blockbuster entertainment! This is followed by a larger-than-life time travel story of a warrior king from the 5th century BC getting stuck in today’s era with the World Television Premiere of Bimbisara on Sunday, 25th June at 8pm.

Janhvi Kapoor, in and as Mili, said, “Mili is about the will and courage one finds to survive in really harsh conditions. It’s also a story of the people you love, how far you’d go for them and how sometimes it’s that love that gives you the will to survive. I remember my dad getting very emotional when bringing the film to me, he kept saying how it showcases a father-daughter relationship and how it reminded him of me. It was a unique and fulfilling experience to witness his passion and expertise first-hand. I am naturally attracted to roles that give me the scope to perform. One of the things that I needed to do as an artist is to open up completely and this character allowed me to do that. I believe so much in the idea of giving my audience the experience that moves them. Overall, being a part of this film has been an unforgettable journey, pushing me to explore new territories and challenge myself as an actor and I hope that ‘Mili’ will resonate with the audiences of Zee Cinema just as it did with me.”
Talking about the film, Boney Kapoor said, “This is the first time I’ve collaborated with Janhvi, she is an extremely hardworking person, professionally. The intensity yet calmness with which she represents herself is just like her mother. It was truly a proud moment seeing her on that set. The film talks about the virtue of a father-daughter relationship and I could not imagine anyone other than Janhvi to play the role”
Next up is Bimbisara, a film that narrates an epic and grand time traveling tale of the all-powerful and warrior king that gets trapped in time and changes his life in a blink of an eye. Filled with action and entertainment, the film tells the story of 5th century king Bimbisara mystically stuck in the present-day world filled with problems that are beyond his imagination. However, when a king from the olden days mistakenly travels through the magic mirror to the year 2023, chaos, action and fun is guaranteed for sure! Zee5 launches five free FAST channels on Samsung TV Plus India
New genre-led channels bring comedy, drama, horror, classics and South films to Smart TVs.
MUMBAI: Zee5 just turned Samsung Smart TVs into a free entertainment buffet because when premium content costs nothing, even the remote control starts smiling. Zee5 has launched five curated free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels on Samsung TV Plus India, making high-quality, genre-specific entertainment available subscription-free to millions of Samsung Smart TV owners across the country.
The five channels now live are:
Zee Comedy Nation – Popular comedy shows and movies
Zee Dil Se – Compelling drama series
ZEE Horror Nights – Horror and supernatural content
ZEE Cine Classic – Timeless Indian films
ZEE South Flix – High-energy South Indian films dubbed in Hindi
All content is drawn from Zee5’s extensive library and programmed in a lean-back, always-on format ideal for large-screen viewing. This launch strengthens Zee5’s Connected TV strategy at a time when 64 per cent of its premium content watch time already comes from connected devices.

The channels are available directly through the pre-installed Samsung TV Plus app with no login or subscription required. This marks another milestone in Zee5’s CTV expansion and builds on its growing international presence, with Zee channels already available on Samsung TV Plus across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
